Well Lalita's christmas gifts are starting to come in so thats good, I gave her one of them early  because of the whole dog bite thing and that seemed to really cheer her up, It was a new calculator ( well she is an engineer after all ..........) she picked it out as it needed  a certain kind of something or other  and its teh first time ive seen a calculator come with a instruction book that was a good 3/4 of an inch thick and this is regular book size not some small pamflet deal.

 ive started casting again so thats something good as well  as I like to cast   could be something along the lines of instant results  or it could just be becasuse I like to do it either way  im casting :)

Well where do I start with this one, I could have called it " What is worng with America " but  it probably would apply to many countries and I dont thing  the name of teh country really matters much, but seeing as I am in america and its happening her  lets just go with it and see where I end up.

This is somewhat of a history lesson so if your sitting comfortably, I'll begin.............

Chaper 4. A new hope .................

 A long long time ago in a galaxy far away ..........

 A child was born to a family of average parents, they worked hard and did what they thought was right for themselves thier child and their household, Yes at times food was not the best  and  could be described as cheap. the parents were not always in work but when they were not they did not sit and complain about the fact that someone was keeping them from getting work or there were no jobs out there   what they did was look for any work, anything that would bring some money into the household so that THEY could feed and look after their family.

 Yes times could be hard  yes clothes were more often than not  hand me downs from freinds and relatives and never the latest fashion, but you know what  they were for the most part happy and just got up each day and got on with the tasks of living.

 OK OK  please take the Norman Rockwell image from your mind and stop thinking you live in Mayberry for a second, hard as it may seen now people did actually used to live like that, they worked lived and died knowing they were responsible for theyr lives and their actions, and that they were the ones that had the means and the ability to make a go of this thing we call life.

Fast forward 50 years and what the fuck has happened, thsi is the point of this rant ..........

The US Government has taken it upon themselves to bail out people that sign legaly binding contracts on a house loan  this we wil hence forth refer to as the " mortgage "

Your asking yourself my am I letting this bother me, yes I know it should not bother me as I dont have an adjustable rate ( remember that word"adjustable") mortgage, We have a fixed rate mortgage that way we know what we will be paying for the next 20 years or however long we have left on the house loan.  When we took it out we looked into the pros and cons of  the two types and WE decided to take the fixed rate one, we could have gone with they adjustable rate mortgage but we didnt  because we were the ones signing the paperwok on the deal and it is our job to make sure that each month the mortgage gets paid. Well apparently we should not have spent so long looking into the pro's and con's of each of the types of mortgage and just took out an adjustable rate one and wait for the government to come bail us out as thats what happened yesterday  to a few million people who were crying that they could loose their house as the mortgage payments were about to change from the low introductary rate to  a different rate  which in this case would have been higher I say that because you can be damn sure if the rate were due to have gone down fuck all would have been said by anyone about the rate change, no nightly news stories of people standing in front of what you have to admit are nice looking homes but way way too big for a normal person to afford, no nightly news reports where the goveror or a senator are saying that the gov will do something to help with the 'crisis' nothing nada the news would just be the normal non news it always is.

 But as the rates are going UP people are demanding the government helps them out of this crisis, the fact that its all of their doing is not getting any air time at all, as someone old enough to sign for a mortgage are you not then seen in the eyes of the law as an adult ?, are you not them seen as someone who has read the terms of the huge loan document that you are signing ? apparently not.

What part of "adjustable" did these people just not understand ? its a simple enough word meaning things can change and if you sign a mortgage that is of the adjustable kind with a 6 month 1 year 2 year  whathave you introductary period, then do you really need asomeone to point out that at the end of that period the rate may change up OR down ?

 If your getting yourself a home thats at the upper reaches of what you can afford then you should not be getting it !!!!  food bills never go down they only go up gas prices change  at what seems at the moment, on an houry basis, utilities charges always go up so if your job only pays a inflation like pay increase a year and seldom even get that then each and every year that you live in the huge house your getting poorer and poorer and thats WITHOUT the amount your paying on your home changing

 Dont get me wrong if you want a big house fine get one, if you want all teh toys, teh boat the huge SUV the kids in private school  fine do that  but when in teh hell did it become teh governments job to make sure that you keep it

 the government should have said   tough shit you signed the papers you deal with it  and if it means you have to sell and get a much smaller home  then  fine do it stop expectingg federal help because your a dumbass

 ok rant over .......

 today ill buy jetdry so the casting can begin

well nothing happening again

 just more of teh same olf stuff

 just got saturday night live season 2 dvds  and hopefully later in teh week will be getting POTC3 and Superbad

 Dentist apointment tomorrow before work and ill have to remember to get a freaking lottery ticket so I have a chance of winning and leaving work and looking after  things at home :)   well I can hope

 well thats it  like I said nothing new ........

My molds that have been out on loan since  march finally returned home :)

 I have 100lb's of plaster sitting in the garage just waiting  for the time I get to cast  which should be  soon, once I get the spare, spare room cleaned up and get the bed and the  dresser thingy dodah out of it, Once that happens ill be able to move all our craft type stuff into it, that way  all the arty stuff will be in one room and should free up some space in the main spare bedroom.

 Frankie the snake will be moving rooms as well  so teh spare room will be able to get redecorated, even if its just a repaint it will be something at least.

 Hopefully a mate will be sending me some molds soon so I can cast them for him  so that will make me happy as I like helping mates out

 so molds wise  apart from the one thats AWOL and the ones Nal has all my babies are home again  so all is well with the world,  im easily pleased........

 Well again  no real earth shattering stuff, just me blabbing on about stuff ............

The start of this is dediacted to two people Witt and Nal  they my live miles away, but you could not ask for two better friends THANKYOU both if I win teh lottery we will all live closer !

 Well again I dont have anything to write about  no earth shattering tales no great stories that would get retold for years to come BUT ............................... this is my first Thanksgiving day as a American citizen bring on the turkey and the pies please :)

Lalita bought me two boxes of Merlins for our anniversary, and I should be getting my out on loan molds back sunday  combine those two things with teh cold weather and BINGO  casting mojo :)   though  with a sewing about 3/4's finished and a 360 abouve the tv   I wonder what hobby shall come out victorious........... only time will tell

 I'm actuallt really looking forward to casting again, strange as it sounds I like casting I find it relaxing  if only
I could come up with great designs like some of the people on the HA site do.

 Oh well  thats it  apart from a hello to  my wife if she is reading this ................ I love you pet :)  

I turned 41 ( yeah THAT old ) monday   it was nice of the government to make it a federal holiday for me :)

 My wonderfull wife bought me a XBOX 360 and two games ive still to open one of them as im playing the other   the graphics etc are brilliant, it would have been nice to shoot at some friends online with it  but as we only have dial up where we live thats a none starter.........VENT............... why the hell do cable companies spend MILLIONS trying to convinve people already in a cable area to have cable when those millions would be better spent expanding the service areas so that more people could sign up  IF IT WAS FUCKING AVAILABLE TO THEM   sorry pet hate ( I have alot of pet hates )

 well yesterday was spent taking a trailer tire off and getting it fixed as it has a slow puncture I raked some leaves and burned those and moved a little hay from the new  to the old barn and made dinner for us both  not exciting you say for a birthday ........ I suppose not   but it was stuff that needed to be done  so I did it :)

 Actually doing the leaves and the lawn stuff I like to do  only next time ill wear gloves as I have a huge blister on my left hand    oh well   it'll heal

Well we went to see Saw 4 and ................. pretty good  :)

We could not not go horse riding this weekend due to us feeling a little below the weather  but we did scope out a few trail heads and parking spots for when we are both feeling better, the the weekend was not a total waste and add to the fact that I got to spend time with Lalita it really was all in all a great weekend.

  I might be getting 8 Hirst Arts molds from a friend in way of a trade of sorts, so that would be a great thing as I would get molds, be able to cast  and teh other person would get the blocks and NOT have to cast  so everyone wins :)

  If you ever need a use for your old carved pumpkins  throw them to the pigs  they LOVE that stuff :)

Well mark your calenders people, today will be a day  to live on in infamy, or infermary if I screw up ..........................I fired my first shot on American soil today, how wierd is that !.

 And how freaky is it that it happend on Halloween and the day before our 6th   yes that right SIXTH wedding anniversary. Tomorrow I guess ill be ordering a couple of magazines from Marlin for the rifle so it makes shooting at the target  that i've yet to buy easier.

Speaking of the rifle, if your reading this KO  THANKYOU !

Yes it's official........................ I now am the proud owner of a .22 rifle. a cleaning kit and a "brick" of  bullets  if in fact that is the right turm for them, let's face it I know nothing APART from make sure it's empty before cleaning it a fact alot of darwin award winners forget.

 And so the madness starts because now that I have one I need MORE lots more ;)

 Next step on that quest is to get my C&R license  which basically allows me to buy and have shipped to me OLD, usually anything pre 1945 ( I think ) firearms, why you wonder would I need said license .............. ? 

 Well I would like a Russian designed rifle the one used in the film "Enemy at the Gates" by Jude Law it's a Mosin-Nagant (Russian: Винтовка Мосина) which was the standard russian rifle of WW2 and was made all over the old soviet block, again your asking yourself why? to be honest I have no idea apart from teh fact I was told about it as beeing a good learner rifle for larger caliber than .22  cheap to buy ( a HUGE factor )  and ammunition is readily available.

 well thats enough about gun's

well another day another shift alone   makes you wonder how people can afford to take as many sick days as some seem to get

 Hopefully today my wife will bring home my new( to me ) rifle  its a .22 or 22 as they call them here  but whats in a name ............ now ill be even more American.

 Seening as its our anniversary soon  im apparently that sad that im getting merlins magic  for my gift :)

no idea what to get the wife yet though, thinking of getting a USB drive dodah nor sure ..........
