Well we have just got back from seeing the forth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise and it was fun but oh how I wish I could get to see the script that was rejected, because I get the feeling that Lucas in his hunt for trying to be ( in his mind at least ) the worlds greatest EVERYTHING  film related, he rejected it JUST because he thought that he could do something better and in doing so all that he ended up doing was something, if I did not know better was the work of Ed Wood and Lucas was just channeling him, let me explain ...................

 OK picture the scene, its film school and its day one of the cliche course and the subject is 50's B-Movie's and their affect of todays film makers. In walks Lucas after a hard nights looking in the mirror telling himself he looks gorgeous and the combination of lack of sleep, self delusion all the surreal images he was looking at somehow embedded themselves into his mind somehow to reappear some 30 years later in the script and plot of the forth Indy flick.

 The lesson starts well with the obvious subject of nuclear war, a stable of 50's b flicks, then it progresses through spaceships,aliens,giant killer ants,Tarzan movies and gang movie's, after the course finished Lucas had so much material in his head it somehow buried it's self DEEP only to resurface ALL AT THE SAME TIME in the form of the screenplay for this installment.

 Now I know that sounds like I'm panning it, far from it  IF your able to totally switch of your brain its good film, a few things though .........................

 The part with the town/cafe/university its like a total cliche of the 50's they did not need to make it SO 50's to get the point across.

 Secondly.. the car/truck chase through the amazon now if you over look the fact that the tree cutter is not cutting at ground level so there would like a bazillion stumps on which to rip off an axle with, the fact that once that tree cutter is destroyed there is magically yes magically a two lane highway through the virgin rain forest  wow how lucky is that ?

 Well that being said it was entertaining  and not as bad as Temple of Doom ..............

 Well its a week later, give or take a few days...........but WE BOUGHT ONE.

 Yes you read that right, we bought a freaking Victory Vision  and even though its huge I have to say WE love it  Lalita has her seat behind me now with speakers and a back rest, so no more feeling like she is going to fall off the Vstar her own foot boards, no more foot pegs for her :)  and apparently it's very very comfortable back there, or so she tell's me.

Well today was a day where, seeing as Lalita took a day off I thought that I would try and think of things for us to go do. I had thought that as we both enjoyed teh butterfly house, that we could go again only this time we could take the video camera and record the fluttery fuckers, as  though it does not sound like a 'fun' place it was actually pretty freaking cool to see all the different sizes shapes and colours of the butterflies moving about. that was going to be teh start of the day and then I was going to suggest Qudoba for dinner and then take her to the pictures.   well  while at work I thought................ hang on we could start the day with us going to go take a Victory Vision for a test ride THEN go to the butterfly house etc etc ..............

 The plan was as they say, going to plan  we woke up ( always a good start to the day )  got dressed ( trust me you DONT want us leaving the house sans clothing )  and drove the bug to the Victory dealership. the weather was perfect bright clear skies a slight breeze and shock of all shocks IT WASNT FECKING RAINING yes thats right ............. not raining.

 We arrived and went inside fully expecting to see the red tour model that was there  from last year  well that was gone ie sold  in its place was a black street vision, the only difference between the street and teh tour is the addition of the back top box apart from that  they are identical bikes and the only difference price is the cost of said top box, the only other Vision that they do is the tour model with a few extra 'touches' lighted name tags chrome handle bars  that sort of thing.

 Well they had a Black tour with the bell's and whistles 'in the back' so we asked if we could take that one out  and  like the man from Delmonte used to say  they say YES!  so after the customery looking at our licences  etc etc diddly do diddleydoo I took it for a quick spin about 2 miles up the road and back and WOW fuel injected belt drive  and it handles REALLY REALLY smooth  before you know it your doing 70 and trust me if I had not glanced at the speedo I would never have thought I was going that fast, so if anyone is reading this and thinking of going for a test ride make sure you keep a look out for how fast your going !

 part two will get typed up tomorrow as Lalita is tired and wants to go to bed so ill go feed the zoo

Well I don't post often  I know I really should sit down each day and write 'something'  but what would I write exactly, nothing happened today  everything is teh same as yesterday  etc etc ?

Well some interesting news .............. I have a phone interview on thursday morning with Enterprise, the car hire people. This will be my first phone interview ever, part of me is SERIOUSLY wondering if ive applied for a position thats way abouve what im able to do, the other part of me ( that would be the smaller of the two parts..) is thinking "well they have my resume so they must have read it before setting up the phone interview, ....... right ? "  but thats the part im having trouble focusing upon ... oh well its me after all.

 So anyway im thinking good thoughts that it goes well  you never know they my in deed just be THAT desperate enough to go wtf what have we got to lose..................

Thanks to a GOOD friend I have an Ipod, yes you read that correctly an ipod sheesh whats next, me starting a blog or summick ......................

 well the cieling is almost done in the spare room the walls are done barring the enevatble touch ups that you never notice till you think that you are done.

And if it were not for the stupid amount of rain we have had of late the  lawn would be ready for reseeding , last years leaves are slowly getting burned but that can ony happen when they are not soaking wet.

 ive been less active on the HA bb of late only because I dont feel like I have anything to contribute to things for now,but thansk to work throwing stuff out I have small LED light dodahs for people should they want to incorperate them into a build or something along those lines hell if nothing else it gets thrown out when they get them all I did was delay the throwing out process.

 I thought they could be used in some sort  of alter type build or at least thats the plan I have for the one im keeping.

Lalita is really having fun with her GPS, it makes me happy that she is enjoying her chrimbo pressie so much :)

 oh well thats it for now ...................byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 

 well we have started redecorating the house, starting with the spare room. we like ivy  so teh room will end up a pale green with ivy border I think its going to look pretty sweet.

 Lalita had her eye's lasered last week and so far she is more than well pleased with the results  so once her's is paid for i'll take myself in and see if im a viable labrat  though I suspect with my eyes I wont be   but hell no harm in finding out right ?

the horses wont like me later this week as on my day off ill be trimming their feet, well granted they dont mind me doing it now and for the most part I really cant complain about them at all they are good horses and stand really calm and let me do what I want with their feet

 well thats it for now  

I SUCK at everything

 The two good thing's ive done in my 41 years on this planet is take up stitching and hirst arts  as those two things let me to my wife ( whom I love ) and some great friends ( whom tolerate me )

at 41 you would think I would know what I wanted etc etc   but noooooooooooooooo  not a freaking clue, at least I do know I want my wife to be happy   and I really do try  and my friends to be able to count on me ( again I try )

 oh well enough whinging

Well Lalita seems to love all the stuff I got her and that's all that matter's to me :)

today we are having our new years eve due to me working nights on the 31st and days on the first ( yeah the job hours suck I REALLY hate the hours as id much rather spend more and more time with Lalita rather than less but at least the extra money I earn allows me to buy thing's I hope she like's and hopefully will be enough to let her get the new big horse trailer she has been wanting for year's )

 The DVD collection is ever increasing, which is a good thing the more I get the more ill have to watch ...... eventually  and the more I rent the more I get to add to Undaves collection as well.

 We just came back from watching the second National Treasure film and if you liked the first one you should like the second one same kind of plot same kind of humour basically the same film with different lines, but hell if it's not broke why fix it ............... and two thing's point to a third, the fact its making a bucket load of cash at the box office, granted a crap film could spawn a sequel if it makes enough, and the fact they  inserted a future plot line  in the film should it have earned enough for the third  so I am pretty much sure a third will arrive in say two years or so.

 well that's about all   nothing else  good to say so why whine about it ......

Well Lalita's christmas gifts are starting to come in so thats good, I gave her one of them early  because of the whole dog bite thing and that seemed to really cheer her up, It was a new calculator ( well she is an engineer after all ..........) she picked it out as it needed  a certain kind of something or other  and its teh first time ive seen a calculator come with a instruction book that was a good 3/4 of an inch thick and this is regular book size not some small pamflet deal.

 ive started casting again so thats something good as well  as I like to cast   could be something along the lines of instant results  or it could just be becasuse I like to do it either way  im casting :)

Well where do I start with this one, I could have called it " What is worng with America " but  it probably would apply to many countries and I dont thing  the name of teh country really matters much, but seeing as I am in america and its happening her  lets just go with it and see where I end up.

This is somewhat of a history lesson so if your sitting comfortably, I'll begin.............

Chaper 4. A new hope .................

 A long long time ago in a galaxy far away ..........

 A child was born to a family of average parents, they worked hard and did what they thought was right for themselves thier child and their household, Yes at times food was not the best  and  could be described as cheap. the parents were not always in work but when they were not they did not sit and complain about the fact that someone was keeping them from getting work or there were no jobs out there   what they did was look for any work, anything that would bring some money into the household so that THEY could feed and look after their family.

 Yes times could be hard  yes clothes were more often than not  hand me downs from freinds and relatives and never the latest fashion, but you know what  they were for the most part happy and just got up each day and got on with the tasks of living.

 OK OK  please take the Norman Rockwell image from your mind and stop thinking you live in Mayberry for a second, hard as it may seen now people did actually used to live like that, they worked lived and died knowing they were responsible for theyr lives and their actions, and that they were the ones that had the means and the ability to make a go of this thing we call life.

Fast forward 50 years and what the fuck has happened, thsi is the point of this rant ..........

The US Government has taken it upon themselves to bail out people that sign legaly binding contracts on a house loan  this we wil hence forth refer to as the " mortgage "

Your asking yourself my am I letting this bother me, yes I know it should not bother me as I dont have an adjustable rate ( remember that word"adjustable") mortgage, We have a fixed rate mortgage that way we know what we will be paying for the next 20 years or however long we have left on the house loan.  When we took it out we looked into the pros and cons of  the two types and WE decided to take the fixed rate one, we could have gone with they adjustable rate mortgage but we didnt  because we were the ones signing the paperwok on the deal and it is our job to make sure that each month the mortgage gets paid. Well apparently we should not have spent so long looking into the pro's and con's of each of the types of mortgage and just took out an adjustable rate one and wait for the government to come bail us out as thats what happened yesterday  to a few million people who were crying that they could loose their house as the mortgage payments were about to change from the low introductary rate to  a different rate  which in this case would have been higher I say that because you can be damn sure if the rate were due to have gone down fuck all would have been said by anyone about the rate change, no nightly news stories of people standing in front of what you have to admit are nice looking homes but way way too big for a normal person to afford, no nightly news reports where the goveror or a senator are saying that the gov will do something to help with the 'crisis' nothing nada the news would just be the normal non news it always is.

 But as the rates are going UP people are demanding the government helps them out of this crisis, the fact that its all of their doing is not getting any air time at all, as someone old enough to sign for a mortgage are you not then seen in the eyes of the law as an adult ?, are you not them seen as someone who has read the terms of the huge loan document that you are signing ? apparently not.

What part of "adjustable" did these people just not understand ? its a simple enough word meaning things can change and if you sign a mortgage that is of the adjustable kind with a 6 month 1 year 2 year  whathave you introductary period, then do you really need asomeone to point out that at the end of that period the rate may change up OR down ?

 If your getting yourself a home thats at the upper reaches of what you can afford then you should not be getting it !!!!  food bills never go down they only go up gas prices change  at what seems at the moment, on an houry basis, utilities charges always go up so if your job only pays a inflation like pay increase a year and seldom even get that then each and every year that you live in the huge house your getting poorer and poorer and thats WITHOUT the amount your paying on your home changing

 Dont get me wrong if you want a big house fine get one, if you want all teh toys, teh boat the huge SUV the kids in private school  fine do that  but when in teh hell did it become teh governments job to make sure that you keep it

 the government should have said   tough shit you signed the papers you deal with it  and if it means you have to sell and get a much smaller home  then  fine do it stop expectingg federal help because your a dumbass

 ok rant over .......
